Jessica Herrera is an Attorney at Moskowitz LLP. Before becoming an attorney Jessica worked here at Moskowitz LLP as a paralegal for 10 years. She attended law school at night and graduated in just 3-1/2 years. She was so determined to become an attorney that she took the California Bar exam while 7 months pregnant.
In her years as a paralegal, Jessica acquired rich experience in tax law, including federal and state of California audits and collections, international tax reporting and compliance matters, preparation of tax returns, tax refund litigation, property tax appeals, and entity formation and compliance. Jessica has had many successes as a paralegal and now as an attorney, including but not limited to, disputing IRS tax adjustments and obtaining tax refunds, preparation of a variety of legal opinions, including but not limited to California residency, California exit, foreign reporting compliance, Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Program (“OVDP”) options, and Nonfungible Tokens (“NFTs”), analysis of foreign tax returns and tax matters, and is a tremendous support to her colleagues. We look forward to her continued and increasing role with Moskowitz LLP.
In her spare time Jessica enjoys spending time with her family and attending Bay Area sporting events. She also likes to cook and travel.
