Economic Impact Payment Information

This year you may have received Notice 1444 because you received an economic impact payment (EIP), commonly known as a “stimulus payment”.

Notice 1444 is sent to each stimulus recipient within 15 days of the IRS issuing payment. The notice includes the following:

The amount of the payment;
An IRS phone number to call with questions or concerns;
Where to find information about the payment on irs.gov;
How the payment was made (i.e. direct deposit, check, or debit card);
A reminder to keep the notice with your taxpayer records for your 2020 tax return.

If you did not receive the full stimulus payment to which you were entitled, you can claim it on your 2020 income tax return, but only if we have the information from your Notice 1444.

Please provide Notice 1444, if any, for each stimulus payment to your tax preparer. Please provide it by using Intuit Link or client portal or contact us if you need to provide it to us using an alternate method.
