Overview
Liz is a practicing attorney and the Director of Practice Group Development at Moskowitz LLP. She oversees client service, firm operations, and business development. With 20 years of experience at the firm, Liz has helped hundreds of clients facing tax controversies, investigations, and criminal tax charges, and has played a key role in the successful expansion of the firm’s services to clients.
She leads introductory meetings with business owners and other individuals facing tax issues, taking the time to understand the specifics of each situation and assess the best course of action. Liz understands the worry and turmoil that often comes with unanticipated tax issues, and is dedicated to ensuring that clients receive the help and advocacy they need.
Experience
Liz has played an active role in resolving tax matters for firm clients for 20 years. She has considerable knowledge of the dispute resolution process, and key determinants in securing strong outcomes: before assuming the role of managing director and becoming a practicing attorney, Liz served as paralegal and firm administrator.
She has contributed to the firm’s work representing both plaintiffs and defendants in front of administrative agencies, in court, and through mediation and arbitration. Her experience with tax controversy matters includes audits, foreign tax disputes, criminal investigations, and SEC matters. She has also been involved with matters related to partnership dissolution, business torts, breach of contract, bankruptcy, and malpractice litigation.
