Bryant Hinckley is an accomplished tax attorney with extensive experience representing clients in both state and federal tax matters. Previously serving as an Assistant Attorney General with the Utah Attorney General’s Office, Bryant represented the Utah State Tax Commission in complex cases before administrative bodies, federal district court, and U.S. Bankruptcy Court. His in-depth knowledge of tax law, combined with his strong litigation skills, makes him a powerful advocate for clients facing tax audits, appeals, and compliance challenges.
In private practice, Bryant has advised businesses on sales and use tax audits, regulatory compliance, and corporate agreements, helping them navigate intricate tax laws and regulations. He has also held an Of Counsel role, where he provided guidance on HR and tax compliance and supported clients in forming and maintaining business entities. His broad experience in tax law allows him to offer strategic solutions to minimize liabilities and provide legal compliance for businesses and individuals alike.
Bryant earned his Juris Doctor from Bringham Young University Law School, where he served as a Senior Editor for the International Law and Management Review. He is admitted to the U.S. Tax Court and U.S. District Court-District of Utah and is a member of the Utah State Bar. With a commitment to service, Bryant has volunteered in several low-income taxpayer clinics and co-authored a chapter on Offers in Compromise for the American Bar Association’s Effectively Representing Clients Before the IRS.
