Kim is an Enrolled Agent (or EA). An enrolled Agent is a tax advisor who is a federally authorized tax practitioner empowered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Enrolled agents are licensed to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for tax issues including audits, tax disputes, tax debt resolution matters, and penalty abatement requests.

Kim completed an LLM in federal taxation in 2012, after receiving her JD. She has experience working with US citizens abroad, foreign citizens that must file IRS tax returns, tax audits, IRS Offer in Compromises, Negotiating IRS payment plans, tax compliance matters, 941 and trust fund tax resolution, and tax preparation. Kim works with our legal team.

Kim is a Certified Acceptance Agent- this means she has a contract with the IRS to receive and review citizenship or other documents to determine whether an individual is eligible for a social security number, the sufficiency of support documents, foreign status, and residency. CAAs are required to complete formal Forensic Document Training to obtain the necessary skills to determine the authenticity of identification documents and the ability to recognize fraudulent documents.
