Steve has earned all his degrees with honors; including his Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA, an M.B.A. from New York University in New York City, a Law Degree from New York Law School and an Advanced Law Degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University Law School in San Francisco, CA. Please refer to his curriculum vitae for an overview of Steve’s extensive tax career.
What you may not know and what is not immediately evident by his resume, is Steve’s incredible tenacity, creativity, and individual drive. Born into extremely dire circumstances in Philadelphia, Steve grew up quickly, stacking packages onto trucks after school to earn money for food as one of his many part time jobs while working his way thru school. After graduating from public high school, Steve put himself through college by driving a taxi cab at nights, and then started to work professionally for the CPA firm of Price Waterhouse in New York City. As Steve advanced thru his career by jobs in the corporate and financial world he went to graduate school, law school, and advanced law school all at night.
It was this upbringing and experience that, despite the numerous degrees and honors, ultimately led Steve to believe in the American dream, and his belief, that everyone with the drive and commitment to try to make it in their life, should not be afraid, confused or held back by the tax code, or unable to benefit from “the system.” It is with this vision that Steve, after moving from New York City, put out his shingle in San Francisco nearly thirty years ago, and has since represented tens of thousands of individuals and businesses with all types of simple and complex tax problems. Over the course of his career, Steve’s lively manner and passion for the businessperson has led to much media attention, including but not limited to, seven years as the Fox TV-Bay Area legal analyst, hosting his own talk show on KNBR radio-San Francisco, numerous media interviews and appearances on Bay Area radio and television stations. Now Steve makes a weekly television appearance as a legal analyst on Comcast TV.
Steve gives back to the community in a variety of ways such as formerly teaching in law school, graduate school, and university at Golden Gate University and The University of San Francisco. Steve has also personally contributed to charities for under-privileged people by supporting a variety of charities such as the Toys for Tots program, various Salvation Army drives, and Holiday Food Banks and Turkey drives.
Steve has never forgotten the lessons that he learned and still strives to personally meet with each and every client and prospective client. Steve wants to help people benefit from the complex and sometimes stressful tax code and the system that administers it so they can prosper in their businesses and other aspects of their lives.
