Margaret has spent her career focusing on client service and problem-solving, and has been recognized by the National Association of Enrolled Agents for her commitment to excellence. She oversees the preparation of federal and state tax returns for Moskowitz clients, and is authorized by the U.S. Treasury to represent taxpayers in front of the Internal Revenue Service and various state tax authorities.
Hundreds of clients with difficult tax circumstances have relied on Margaret’s judgment and experience in preparing current and prior year as well as amended returns. She has completed federal and state returns for individual taxpayers, fiduciaries, nonprofits, and a range of business taxpayers, including partnerships, corporations, sole proprietorships, and limited liability companies. An analytical thinker with strong attention to detail, Margaret is skilled at helping clients to take full advantage of applicable tax law, and to minimize the risk of future audit.
She also has substantial background helping clients resolve outstanding tax issues with the IRS, the California Franchise Tax Board, and other state tax authorities in California and beyond. Her work has included advising clients on responding to notices, demonstrating non-collectability, agreeing offers in compromise, and negotiating payment plans.
Margaret also has experience supporting business clients with payroll administration and bookkeeping, and as an information technology consultant.
