Chris P. Housh is an Enrolled Agent at Moskowitz LLP experienced in tax compliance and tax planning for self-employed individuals, beginning businesses, and artisans. He routinely works in conjunction with firm attorneys to represent clients before the collections divisions of state and federal tax authorities to negotiate installment payment agreements, offers in compromise, penalty abatements, garnishment releases, and other liability resolutions on behalf of our clients.
Chris is also an integral member of our audit representation team and represents clients before the IRS, FTB, EDD and SBE. Chris is admitted to practice before the IRS and all state taxing agencies recognizing the Enrolled Agent license. His multi-state practice has included appearing before the IRS and state taxing agencies in California, Oregon, Ohio, Nevada, Washington, Arizona, New Mexico, Massachusetts, and New York.
He enjoys presenting educational seminars a few times a year and has presented for such organizations as Lorman Education and the Golden Gate Society of Enrolled Agents. Moskowitz LLP looks forward to adding him to our panels in the upcoming year as part of our community education outreach efforts.
Chris began his career with the firm in 2000 as a legal document assistant. Over the years, he has built a reputation with clients and tax agency representatives as being a knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate negotiator. Chris has successfully represented more than a hundred clients during audit examinations of their business and individual returns, as well as successfully negotiating many installment payment agreements, collection resolution agreements, offers in compromise, and garnishment releases.
